Marrying tradition with the surreal, ‘Cleansing Rituals’ explores superstitious customs with spiritual elements.
The work investigates premarital ‘cleansing’ with aspects such as soot and salt. Both thought to possess magical virtue, and to be purifying with protective and fertilising powers.
